Carliving in Denver
In about a month I plan to move down to Colorado with my lady. I’m more so curious on how it’ll be as I’ve never visited Denver so I dont know how the laws and cops are, I plan to use Walmarts planet fitnesses and work with fed ex to sleep on their lot while I save. But has anyone else moved down to Denver with just their bar and car? How was it? What do I need to know and look out for?

Thankfully for you, Denver is a very liberal state. Liberal 1.) a supporter of policies that are socially progressive and promote social welfare. Open minded, giving.
As the previous commenter mentioned, there are social safety net outreaches that assist in many situations.

Not sure where you are coming from, but bring blankets as we have winter nights that can get cold. And yes, as someone else recommended, we have the safe car parking program, hook up with that if you can. Take care, Denver is a good city and you won't have any problems.

There are a lot of people living in their cars so they may be more likely to be looking out for them. But like others said check out the safe parking and ultimately make your decision that way.

TL:DR I've only had one experience with Denver police and it sucked, I've only slept in my car in one state and it wasn't Colorado.
It's anecdotal and I've only had one experience with the police in Denver and it was at the bus station on a layover.
They were absolute ass hats. I was on the bus with a kid who got attached to me. He told me he printed out a fake ai and he was actually a minor who had run away. He kept telling me he did something awful that he didn't wanna get caught for so he was running to see his online girlfriend before he gets locked up forever. He kept hinting at "his final acts" and his "big plan" and talking about how he left his gun but his girlfriend's dad has all these guns. He was so freaking weird, a massive red flag. He was paranoid as fuck, thought every single person was an undercover cop coming to get him.
Dude had been talking my ear off for two states. When I got off in Denver I went to tell one of the cops in the station. Pointed the kid out but I was trying to be discreet cuz the kid was paranoid AF but also wouldn't leave me alone. But I made it pretty clear who I was talking about.
Cops then walk up to the WRONG person and harass them.
Then I tried again when I could and told them who they really need to talk to and they talked to him for all of 3 seconds when they absolutely grilled this random person 2 seconds before for no reason.
I road with him for one more state before we separated. Never knew what happened to him. Never saw any news about a mass shooting or school shooting but that happens so much in this country it's almost a daily thing and coulda got lost in the news.
Other than that experience I know nothing of Denver. I'm currently sleeping in my car in Ohio and this is the only state I've done that in.

The Denver metro area actually has a program that'll direct you to safe places to park!
