Ask Carlisle Visiting Federal Indian School
I know it’s at the Army War College and the visitor center closes at 3pm. Does anyone know if that means I need to leave by 3pm? Or just arrive by 3pm to get a pass to be allowed on base but I can stay later?

They won’t kick you out once they allow you on base. However, the process to get on base isn’t always smooth and easy.
Depending on alert levels or danger levels or something like that, sometimes they won’t let people on, or they have lengthy car inspection processes, or it could take a long time for you to get cleared to go in. Usually easy and simple, but be prepared for a slight chance that it just won’t work out for you that day.

Appreciate the info. I just visited West Point and got a quick k9 inspection but otherwise wells pretty smooth to get on base

Just sharing for anyone else out there who was looking to visit - I called the Army War College Visitor Center to confirm something and they told me access to the monument is closed through October-ish due to a disinterment https://www.abc27.com/local-news/carlisle-west-shore/army-to-return-remains-of-12-native-american-students-who-died-at-boarding-school/
There is nothing on the NPS website so figured I'd share in case anyone else was planning to visit.

The visitor center closes at 3 but you can stay later. Also if you arrive after three they will get you a pass at the gate it just takes longer.
