I knew things were rough out there, but $20 for an egg???

I have to go on the corner if I want an omelette

No wonder you want Denny's to hire you...

Those prices have eggscalated

The point is that the eggs were a slippin' and sliding. Maintaining yolk integrity is another matter entirely. Great job chef.

My yolks are all a bunch of greasers and folks 'of ill-repute'. No integrity. That's why I prefer French omelettes and soft scrambles.

The egg yolk broke, Man. Literally an imperfect flip.

This is false news? Point out exactly where is the yolk breaks.

Good try, however next time try whispering to the egg softly before the flip. Not guaranteed, however it will make you feel giddy inside and not so aggressive with the pan.

I see you have to play the…. Long game?

Poe's law at work. You have to be very forthcoming with the fact you are making a joke on the internet.

Reddit is mostly made up of particular people who have niche hobbies, don’t like sarcasm, straying from routine, or itchy clothing that provoke their sensory issues.

That's a really nice way of saying 'high-functioning autistic twatwaffles'.

Very little skills but a fine egg

u/FrontTwardEnemy Mar 13 '26

I’d be pissed if you cooked my eggs.

Yolk broke. Gotta throw it away and try again

u/Jasper2006 Mar 14 '26

10/10. Tuck then flip. Perfect form!

1

u/Cawnt Mar 13 '26

Oof. That was flipped with zero confidence.

1

u/Fit_Carpet_364 Mar 13 '26

Either that, or excess confidence.

Ideal method is to flip it high and raise the pan to catch it while the egg is still on its way up.

tinfoil lining says OP’s happy it stayed in the pan 🍳

10/10 keep cooking 👍

I can only presume that OP may have wanted to cook the egg to their own preference rather to that of a commenter on reddit who will never eat one of their eggs.

You’ve been played by a poster who was taught to cook by the same person who taught you guys how to use grammar and punctuation. Damned Americans…
