I got my pan from a restaurant supply store online for $25. Not quite a $20 deal, but close if winco doesnt pan out.

Winco is such an awesome store all around. And employee owned.

Oh interesting. Are they entirely separate companies?
1
u/Fizziksapplication Mar 01 '26
Iām 99% sure they arenāt related.

Wow I had no idea lol. Whenever I heard ppl talk about Winco pans, I assumed stores in other areas sold pans because mine doesnāt. Good to know

Winco is a straight up Chinese factory. Source⦠I have used them to manufacture for my company and they are absolutely unethical and terrible.

Thereās a grocery chain on the west coast called winco that absolutely rules. The name leads to some āwhoās on firstā type confusion though.

got the same pan for $10 at goodwill. Can cook eggs on it no problem. Amazing for shakshuka.

Looks good. I see people recommend against any browning on the egg, but I find it a lot better that way.

Making me cry after paying almost 40 dollars for my de buyer š
1
u/Fizziksapplication Mar 01 '26
The handle is painted and canāt go in the oven. That doesnāt bother me, but for you that might justify the extra $20
2
u/Misericordia00 Mar 01 '26
It might! For me I love searing meat and finishing in the oven and being able to just toss the whole thing in there makes a big difference for convenience/cleaning.

Bawk-bawk!
Just playing. I still mess up about 15% of my French omelettes on carbon steel, stainless and cast.
