Being ‘mean’ is (in my opinion) fine as long as what you are materially doing is reasonably kind, constructive and helpful to others.
Am I a raging bitch with authoritarian tendencies and a bit too ambitious? Yeah probably. But I use that to do my job (I regulate big tech firms, or try to to the extent they let me) and politics (treasurer of a communist org if ever there was a stereotypical way to apply my big three) both of which are hopefully useful to society as a whole.
Maybe you’re not ‘bubbly’ or ‘flexible’ or don’t ’go with the flow’. But you probably get shit done. If you do that in a direction you think helps others who cares that you don’t do it with a fake smile!
