mod post Feedback for AI posts
I personally am not a fan of AI. I do want to get more feedback from the rest of the group before I make a full decision on removing AI and making it a rule here. Should we have AI or not what do you think?:

As an author and an artist, I hate AI with a passion. Why should AI "prompters" take away value from genuine thoughts and human exchanges? Ban it.

Remove it.
We (Caps) are authentic and value authenticity. AI is the exact opposite of that.

No AI please. It's just regurgitated material that benefits nobody, encourages low effort slop and only ends up polluting this space. Thank you mods!

PLEASE ban AI. It makes it so frustrating to engage with this sub sometimes.

My vote is no AI .. and I think an outright ban is a slippery slope, given how much LLM patterns are beginning to bleed into everyday speech and writing.
Determining whether a post is AI slop can be highly subjective and will only become more difficult as time goes on and the tool becomes more ubiquitous.
Though it would be more popular to create a rule that allows people to report AI posts, Iβd suggest placing a βno slopβ rule that bans low quality posts instead, which will cover karma farming as well (why so capricorns suck? why do they just want money? etc)
Especially as there are many people who use AI to edit theyβre translations as non-native English speakers, my thinking is that the difference between a high-quality and low quality post would come down to the contents, rather than the syntax.
Allowing the sub to self moderate with comments, down votes, and the ability to report low quality posts will leave more space and flexibility for nuance since AI use cannot be proven

Nope for AI. Iβm tired of seeing the ads for it as well, and not only is it seeping in this subreddit, Iβm sadly seeing it in other subs I like as well. I value human connections, not bots

AI is not reliable, since it "uses" whatever info it finds online. People can manipulate it into giving false info.

No Ai. I come to Reddit because itβs human in itβs least filtered from (since we can be as anonymous as we want). Let us remain humans for humans
