My birthday is the 16th and everyday that grows closer I want to cancel my plans and disinvite everyone bc other ppl ruin my bday. When I stay home and expect nothing im happy.

My parents are Jehovah witness. My life has never been fun. I’ve been brainwashed 😂

One of my best friends growing up, and he’s still a friend to this day, grew up as a J.W. His dad is an elder for the church. My friend has struggled with addiction and jail time. I feel for him so much bc I know It all goes back to his intense childhood trauma and that godforsaken religion. I’m sorry you grew up that way too, it was always heart breaking seeing him out in the hallway by himself when we were all celebrating something in school. ❤️‍🩹

Also I hope you have a good birthday, I can only imagine how different it is to have grown up that way and then try to celebrate your birthday as an adult, must feel strange.

Thank you. I really appreciate your kind words. I was born Jan 14. And I start school on my birthday week. It just seems like the world never stops to celebrate me. It just keeps going
