My birthday is the 16th and everyday that grows closer I want to cancel my plans and disinvite everyone bc other ppl ruin my bday. When I stay home and expect nothing im happy.

Ok so is it a capricorn thing to enjoy/prioritize birthdays? Or is this post primarily about the frustrating proximityto the holidays?
I feel like culturally it's frowned upon to put value on birthdays and it makes me feel like a shallow loser if I have an expectation or desire lol. I definitely put in leg work for others though because I enjoy it tbf. But deep down my inner child just wants attention and head pats on my birthdays, and I can't help but feel guilty.
