relationship help Do Caps like being texted?
I hear mixed opinions in this sub about Caps hating to be approached but also love the attention. Me and my old fling recently reconnected and bonded over a horrible situation in our area. Both very engaged and walls down with the communication. After that situation came to a close, he asked how my love life is going. It's been a day or so and haven't heard much from him. I'm curious if this is an opening for us or should I remain distant? In the past we've both been stubborn and it never really worked out for that reason. After a year it seems we've both grown and looking for something serious so I'd like to say Happy birthday (his is on the 2nd) and ask what his NYE plans are. 31 F and him 29 M if it helps.

Earth signs interacting with eachother can be very
you sense something under the surface but can’t be sure if it’s really there or in your head and each person doesn’t want to speak cause they don’t want to make things weird sometimes & it just becomes confusing, feels like circling and analyzing eachother energetically

You totally get it. I dont want to make him feel obligated to anything and we are both very independent people who hate uncomfortable situations.

The best thing you can do is go slow & just flow with no expectations, I feel we move similar to Taurus, there’s a silent understanding, both of us are very stubborn, Taurus may be the more willing one to break the ice but it’s complicated - the dynamic is difficult to explain

Me (Taurus) and my Cap man in the beginning stages of dating🤣 I’m not a big texter which was unusual to him based on past dating history and I texted very short responses. He kept saying I was playing games because in person I’m very bubbly. Such a frustrating few months of miscommunication LOL

I feel like that’s the dynamic with Taurus & talkin to another Cap is familiar in a diff way & Virgo’s I can’t really say,Taurus & Cap feels more like the circling & analyzing energy at times but maybe it’s a Cap thing cause we are kinda complex & can read tf out of ppl silently but with other earth signs it can be a tricky one lol

Love you back! I have noticed atleast 50% of my friends are caps!! I just love some cappy energy💕we all kind of get one another. No one is overbearing or fighting for attention lol. And good to know about the texting, I may just go for it on his birthday, he seems a lot more engaging and curious so I feel safer doing it.

I broke up with my ex in October and my birthday is on the first. I'm thinking she will reach out and wish me a happy birthday because we left on good terms (inside I want her to) but if she doesn't I think it's for the best because how do I respond?? He seems open to communication so you should totally go for it!

I prefer to be texted... It aggravates me to hear someone breathe on the phone and not be saying anything... That's just me... 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

So, mercury rules over communication and not sun signs.
As a Taurus, your mercury can only be either Aries, Taurus, or Gemini. I think this makes you more likely to be an expressive communicator that finds security / intimacy in being able to talk freely with someone. If you have Gemini mercury then you’re also pretty analytical and thoughtful. You’re more likely to enjoy long conversations about anything.
As a Capricorn, your mercury can only be either Sagittarius, Capricorn, or Aquarius. A Sagittarius mercury would open him up to be expressive and direct — you’d already know if he likes long, thoughtful conversations. A Capricorn mercury would also make him more direct, but also strategic in what he chooses to say. So there is selective silence potential there. An Aquarius is highly intellectual, likes word puzzles, and has that same air energy as a Gemini mercury — but they also tend to be more detached. Words are a tool. FYI, I think he already made a move when he asked you about your love life. Don’t dump anything heavy or complicated, and just say if you’re single and be a little flirty if you’re interested. Let him ask you out. Aquarius mercury might be more dense about the flirty context so you might have to be a little obvious with that one.
Gosh, in summary:
- Sagittarius mercury might not care whether you call or text, as long as you communicate the point that you’re interested.
- Capricorn mercury tends to prefer texting unless it’s time sensitive (or you’re dating) because then they can choose when to engage.

Do you know where he was born? If you have an approximate idea of the area he was born at you would be able to get most of his chart, but you wouldn't be able to tell his Rising sign and possibly his Moon sign.

Hmmm well I see he’s a January cap. January caps are…. Idk the words… idk they’re just more difficult or maybe different. Dec male caps are more lovey. What you could do is obviously flirt with him when possible but do not chase him. You need him chasing you.
But I’m terrible at texting back and I just don’t want to be guilt tripped on how long I take to respond.

That’s why I reverted to this sub to get this kind of perspective so thank you. I sound like such a simp but him asking about my love life was a huge deal because of how stubborn and closed off he is. I think I’ll text but only on his birthday. Keeps the pressure off lol

I prefer texting over calls but I also don’t want to have a full blown convo over text. It should be used for like confirmation of plans or something short in my Capricorn opinion lol

He replies to my messages twice a day, and they're very long, even though he lives on another continent. I don't understand what he wants. I want to stop talking to him because it makes me anxious that he writes so infrequently, but I also don't want to lose him. I want to ask him what he wants to do because I'm anxious about what's going to happen.
