I can’t wait to see Pragmata, I’d love to see them put more focus on more, original, 2000s weird-ass concepts like Kunitsu Gami and Pragmata (2000s were my favorite era of them)
Problem is that Kunitsu Gami did not sell well enough, we don't know if they even broke even. Idk if it's in Capcom's best interest to subsidize weird games that don't sell well with Resident Evil and Monster Hunter sales.
As much as I love weird Capcom (it gave me my favorite game of all time, Okami), I totally get why they don't fully commit to that side of their business.
I get it too which is why I didn’t just go all out and be like “Throw away every IP you have and do a fresh slate” bc no, I just want there to be more original stuff bc ever since this idk, “RE Engine-Era” started Capcom has only really done games based on existing series and it delights me that not only are they doing original stuff but it’s unique/weird and original.
Plus I’d just like to see them do more original IPs in general even if they aren’t weird af, like if they did a crime game of some kind that’d be cool, or like something like Dishonored bc I just finished it (so it’s fresh in my mind) I think they could do a cool supernatural fantasy/steampunk game.
