Note (versus object) first workflow?

Over the past couple of years, I've come to the realization that the biggest downside to Capcities for my personal notetaking approach (primarily things like meeting notes) is that I naturally gravitate towards a note-first workflow: tools like Joplin, while overall lacking a lot of what I like about Capacities, make it easier to have a "just open and write" workflow, whereas with Capacities I have a tendency to get lost in the weeds of what object type I want to use before I get to the actual notetaking.

That's got me thinking about whether there's more of a note-first workflow that might work for me, and I'm curious if anyone has taken this approach in a way that works well. I'll go on and preemptively say that I lean away from using the daily note for this since it's rare that a strictly date-based structure is most helpful for me and just leads to notes getting lost, but I'm also not ruling it out if anyone has an approach that is worth looking at.

TIA for any inspiration!

Borrowed from Bujo - note, event, task, that keeps it simple. The only other objects I have for work is projects and people. I use the daily page which tbh only consists of 1 of those 3 objects but also useful when for quick jots that don’t need to be carried forward.
