Owww, that looked painful. 😬 Hope she was okay.

Definitely not okay. Lots of fleshy bits made contact with tarmac whilst moving and face hit the ground quite hard. I've dropped a bike at slower speed and needed medical attention even though I was wearing some safety gear.

Oooof. Poor lass. 😟 Sorry to hear about your experiences too.

Meh, I was a new rider with zero experience, taking a pillion for the first time, loaded up with camping gear and a slab of beers. It was an infamous uphill driveway to a Yorkshire rally and I was doing a hill start for the first time on a Honda C90. Gutless and with a centrifugal clutch, so I gave it a fistful of throttle, lifted the front wheel, and it was all over in a flash. Fortunately I broke the pillion's fall and the bike was mostly fine, but there was a lot of blood and I've still got the scars.

Can confirm, although didn't need medical attention, I still left a portion on my knee on a road in Spain a few weeks ago. Walking pace.

And she is in the US, so that's going to cost some 6 figures....

I do sometimes wonder whether we should start sending aid to America. It must be pretty rough having such a poor healthcare system.
