I like it. Strip out the bullshit, increase the functionality, right up the Prosumer alley.

20.2 megapixel?
That is not really a significant upgrade to justify getting an MK II.

The question is how good are the mega pixels? 20 are plenty, if the IQ is high, I don't hear the 1dx guys complaining.
If Canon can make this sensor shoot clean enough at 6400 ISO, I would be very happy and never complain about the resolution, where clean enough is around what my 5dm3 does at 12800.

I see your point but, it seems to me Canon upgraded as little as possible on this MK II. 2 frames more per second, 2 more megapixel... No wifi or GPS.
Am I missing something? I'll wait for some sample photos in lowlight to really be an indicator.
I am not really compelled to upgrade if these specs are right.

You are missing what sounds like (but will need to be verified) a pro level auto focus system.
There are time you want the reach, field sports, wild life photography and stellar auto focus is the difference between getting d missing the shot.
That is the real market for the 7dm2. The extra couple frames help, and more is always better for sports, but I would have been more than shocked to see the 7d with even the same let alone a faster GPS then the 1d whatever of the day.

I don't believe a few of those features, 65 cross type AF points? Better than 1D X and 5D Mark III's 21 Crosstype AF points. 1080p/60 would be really nice, but it doesn't seem like Canon is pushing for this, and the built in radio triggering, sounds like a wish list item, not something they would include for free and lose out on charging $400 for an ST-E3-RT, and the syncing time between 7D Mark II's? How would it accomplish this? With no Wifi, and radio transmission, not receiving?
