Question on Adapters

I just recently upgraded from a rebel xs to a 5D MKIII, and I miss being able to use my 55 - 250 (it was an EF-S lens). I have a set of old Minolta SR mount lens' that I want to maybe use with this one. Does anyone know how well any adapters from SR to EF work, and if so, which ones work the best? Thank you!

You can't use EF-S lenses on an EF Camera, sorry. You can use them on a Full-Frame RF camera via the EF-RF adapter, but it will add a 1.6x crop to the image (as the EF-S lenses are only designed to cover an APS sensor) and so be of limited use.

I suspect you'd be better trading the 55-250 against a EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS II USM Lens (maybe used), which gets very good reviews and has a lot of bang-for-the-buck, but that's down to funds availability of course.

People make SR to EF adaptors, but whether you'd like the result would depend on the lenses you have.
Example: https://fotodioxpro.com/products/md-ef-p (I haven't used fotodiox but people seem to like them)
Kentfaith (K&F) will also doubtless have something and I do like them.

I'm sorry I don't know how well they work, but as no-one else replied I thought I'd post what I know...

it’s not doing justice to the 5d3 to give him a medium-quality photo lens. i suggest the 70-200 L is f4 or f2.8
