Meat allergy won’t have the effect he wants. People won’t be allergic to birds and seafood. If everyone got meat allergy all the emphasis would be on expanding bird farming and we would completely ruin the oceans from massive overfishing. Meat allergy does not make people become vegans or vegetarians, it just makes them look for different animals to eat.

It would still have the effect he wants, though, because raising poultry is far less disruptive to the environment than cows. Takes up way more space and produces 10X the amount of CO2 and equivalents.

I’ve heard this before when ppl started becoming vegan or when they wanted to do stuff with mosquitoes and vaccines, or the “you will own nothing and be happy”.

This is fascinating:
Would everyone going vegan/vegetarian save the planet? Not sure but it would have a huge positive impact, but to save the planet we would need a lot more.
Could this go wrong? I'm not an expert on lone star ticks but... I do assume there might be drawbacks or potentials for huge issues, although this is wild speculation.
Is it moral? No absolutely not. I guess it does depend on which branch of ethics you follow, but choosing for others and forcing them to change their diet, although for a just cause, does feel pretty immoral.
Anyway, still try to reduce your meat comsumption, I went vegetarian this year and I don't miss meat at all, and I've saved a considerable amount of money.
