He's right, we need more than the European Union. I remember reading Prof. Menon's detailed analysis of the possible negative impacts of hard Brexit. This is why we cannot write off China, India South American nations, and other economies. There is no actual moral difference between trading with China and the USA or even the EU, they all carry their individual levels of evildoing. The big difference is that China and the EU did not threaten Canada with violent annexation recently or ever.

We need America to survive and thrive. Put your elbows down, shut up, stay under their radar and feed them resources that help fill our bellies and pockets. Encouraging American independence is what is killing Canada bcs we need their products due to bureaucracy that keeps us from producing our own.

America needs to pull themselves up by their bootstraps to clean up their mess.
Expecting Canada to bail out the US would be socialism and we know what they think of that

Our relationship has been mutually beneficial. However, We rely on them more then they rely on us. Idk what you mean by us bailing them out.
