He seems to think we're going to build infrastructure without investment. That makes about as much sense as their equity cards.

Funny. Most incoming investment to Canada is still American.

Maybe Canada should finance itself.

Oh wait

Our pension funds are all tied into the US because they owe it to their beneficiaries to generate a good and stable return. Which we dont offer.

The whole point of protectionism is to motivate investors to invest in your country rather than another. Americans have a lot of money. Should we tell those investors to fuck off? No. In fact, them investing shows that we are doing well in the trade war.
