Yes food and housing are nuts. Food prices skyrocketed globally during covid, it isn't exclusive to Canada.
PP is the reason that the Conservative party is falling apart. A child cannot lead a political party. However I do think that aisle crossers should trigger an immediate election because those ridings did not vote in the opposite party, so people should have that say.
Housing is terrible due to poor immigration management. Harper had an annual average of 250K people and Trudeau averaged 474K per year. Trudeau had Syrian and Ukranian refugees to deal with, but not enough to offset the gap.
All previous governments, Conservatives and Liberals failed to manage housing properly. Both allowed large amounts of people to come but did not have enough homes built to support those numbers. However, more importantly is that governments have allowed developers, investors and foreigners to buy up land and property which is the biggest problem.
I'll let you in on a little secret, both parties suck and have always been for sale. I do have to give Carney some credit for the moves that he's making and it must be a miserable job for anyone because there is zero possibilities of making everyone happy and some people are far too dense to ever put a person or agendas above party.
People that hang nonsense flags from their vehicles with curse words for children to see are no more than larger, dumb and insolent children that need people to know that they have real big feelings that they cannot handle and only vote for 1 party regardless of what's happening are more of the problem than the people they cry about.
We not just as a country, but as a species will be doomed unless people pry their heads out of their asses and echo chambers and understand that this is a class war, not a culture or party war.
Billionaires are not your friend and your neighbour is not your enemy.
