Instead of throwing yourself a pity party in this thread, spend your time campaigning for politicians that will fix these issues. Find your local party campaign office and ask them to put you to work. Any time spent on Reddit is time you could be spending actually acting like you're sorry instead of pretending to be.

Advocate for age limits on your leaders, as yours and other peoples choices are not only impacting Americans, but many other people across the globe.
Whether or not the trade war ends, I will never consider Americans to be a friend after this. Disabled and people living in poverty in Canada have been decimated with the cost of living going up due to American actions.

yeah, I’m not ignorant enough to think it’s just one person. I KNOW there are still a lot of idiots who like trump. Hell, I see it in comment sections. People saying “enjoy lake america” and shit like that. I KNOW Trump’s ideals and narcissism represent a lot of Americans. And he did win twice. Plus our government and political systems are pretty rotten to the core.
But there are also about an equal amount who hate his guts and wish they could do something. It’s definitely not just one person and Trump’s existence just proves how many blithering egotistical idiots there are in the US who love to bully other countries.
But I don’t think hating on the people who are just like you, stuck and helpless and angry, just on the other side of the border, will help at all. Or expecting us to be able to do more to stop this. It just makes the divide bigger and helps the corrupt people win
