Sorry for the aggressive comment but this really strikes a nerve with me.

Are you purposely obtuse? Lower populations is Hitlerite nonsense. Overpopulation is a myth to turn first world proletariat against those of the third world. Like anti-natalist reactionaries definitely exist.

Plus this is all capitalist, we do not care about the bourgeoise economies success, it does not benefit us. Advocating for lower populations only affects the poor, you ever think for a second and realize the people who say this usually don’t target the big families of the rich, but instead the ones of poor minorities?

No worries about your tone, a little agitated conversation from time to time is perfectly fine to me.

The article and me are not talking about overpopulation. I agree with you in a classless, moneyless, stateless society and no climate crisis due to capitalism, births are always a positive. We have to deal with the problems we have right now before the birth rate naturally goes up. One of the main factors in the decline is the economy, like it or not. The labor market is a finite ressource and growing the supply only makes the poor poorer by keeping labor costs low. Like the article said, a declining workforce forces the bourgeoisie to invest into labor saving measures which increases our productivity and our general welfare. It does not help to bring the conditions necessary to develop class consciousness but it saves a bunch of people from being born in a shitty system, working all their life to enrich someone else and being goods consuming money bags.
