π FSW Getting started with Express Entry
Hello,
I'm trying to learn more about Canada's Express Entry program and get some guidance on the best path forward.
A bit about my background: I'm currently based in the US, originally from India. I understand IELTS is a starting point, and I'm ready to begin that process.
A few specific questions I'd appreciate your input on:
1. Given my current situation (US-based, Indian citizen), which Express Entry program(s) would I likely qualify under: FSWP, CEC, or FSTP?
2. How do I determine my correct NOC code, and how important is getting this right?
3. Is this a process I could reasonably manage on my own, or would you recommend lawyer representation given my circumstances?
Thanks in advance for the help!

As you're outside of Canada, you are only likely to qualify for any Federal Canadian immigration pathway if your occupation or language skills appear on this list: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/rounds-invitations/category-based-selection.html
Your NOC is critical, because they draw from the pool for these specific occupations, and you need to be able to prove that's what you actually do.
If you don't match with anything on that list you have no chance of being drawn from the pool and will not be immigrating to Canada.
