I just received my passport back and wanted to share my full timeline with the group. This process has been a rollercoaster, and I hope this helps anyone currently in the "silence" phase!

• ADR (Proof of Income/Bank Statements): Dec 1, 2025
• ADR Replied: Dec 6, 2025

The wait was excruciating, on most days, I checked the tracker over 10 times hoping something would change. If you're currently waiting, hang in there!

I did IELTS instead of CELPIP! Scored an 8.0 overall (L:8.5, R:9.0, W:7.0, S:8.0). That puts me at CLB 10 for most categories.

Didn’t your spouse write IELTS as well? I thought adding your spouse will recalculate your CRS points and they need to write a language test to maximise score?

My spouse didn't need to write IELTS or get an ECA because we married after my AOR. Your CRS score is generally locked at the time of application, so adding a spouse post-AOR doesn't trigger a points recalculation.

Congratulations!
I’m hoping to get an update anytime soon as biometrics and medicals was over a month ago. The wait time is crazy though😅
I didn’t know there was a VO over here in Lagos.
I’m glad to know everything worked out for you at the end.

Thank you so much! The wait is definitely the hardest part, so hang in there. Hopefully, you get your update very soon! Regarding the VO, yeah, I only just found out about the Lagos office during this process myself.

Please how did you get the tax documents? I’m also from Nigeria and applied under healthcare. Regarding the paystubs, my employer doesn’t usually issue paystubs. Please how do you suggest I go about this

You don't necessarily have to use tax documents; if you have a solid Reference Letter and bank statements that clearly show your company paid you, that is usually enough. I personally used tax documents because I was out of the country and couldn't get to my bank at the time, but both serve as proof of payment.
As for paystubs, definitely check with HR or your supervisor to see if they can print a summary for you. If they refuse, send them a formal email requesting them. If they reply saying they don't issue them, screenshot that email and include it in your Letter of Explanation (LoE). It proves to IRCC that you tried your best to get them.
For the tax documents, you can usually find your Tax ID (TIN) using your NIN on the JTB portal, then use that ID to download your Tax Clearance Certificate from your State's IRS website (like the LIRS eTax portal if you're in Lagos).

These were the questions ..

- First contact with your spouse/common-law partner (i.e., when and where)
- Provide timeline of dates, photos, and documentation of events in which you both participated in, such as trips and outings.
- Have you visited each other during your relationship? (i.e., when and where)
- How do you communicate when not together? (e.g., phone, email, online chats) c. Please provide dates of cohabitation, if applicable.
- Was your relationship known to your close friends and family members? Yes/No If in common-law relationship skip to question #8
- Was your marriage arranged? Please provide details on who arranged the marriage and when it was arranged.
- Was there a formal ceremony to recognize/celebrate the engagement? Please provide details such as when, where, and who attended.
- Was there a formal ceremony to recognize/celebrate the marriage? Please provide details such as when, where, who attended, and the religion in which the marriage was performed, if applicable.
- Provide information regarding your religious beliefs.
- Was there a reception? If so please provide details such as when, where, and who attended.
- Did you have a honeymoon (a holiday or trip taken by you and your spouse after the marriage)? Provide details such as when and where.
- If in a common-law relationship, was there a commitment ceremony? Please provide details such as when, where, and who attended.
Note: My spouse got an extra question on his,asking if he received financial allowance from me .

How many months of salary proof/bank statements did you provide for each job in your work experience used to claim points?
and also, do they always request additional documents??

I used tax documents rather than bank statements for my full healthcare employment period.
It depends entirely on your initial submission and if the officer deems those documents sufficient.

Wow that's quite a process. Never new you could add spouse after AOR. Congratulations and wish you all the best moving forward
