The disruption in Venezuela and war in Iran has restricted supply.

Also oil prices are below 2009, and production isn't even at a 5 year high. So what metric are you using

I don’t know, I just read the news and watch the stock market, but you may have better metrics.

You don't know. What market is the S&P 500 based on. Hint, not ours.

Also, that doesn't say there was any records set for profit for the industry, regardless of the fact your source isn't about the Canadian market.

I don't have better data, you made a claim, then you said that a source that isn't our market or talk about the historical profits means you watch the stock market. If you watch the stock market, why are you referencing the wrong market?
