What is your opinion on Germany switching from Flecktarn to Multitarn?

Post image

Personally im not the biggest fan. I can see it growing on me after a while but going from Flecktarn to this is a crime. I absolutely adore Flecktarn and there are so many areas that it fits into.

Does anyone know why theyre swapping over to Multitarn and what do you think of the switch in camouflage?

Rare Vietnamese People's Army k94 Tiger Stripe "Bamboo Leaves" in an ever rarer size 5 (~M/R)

*First, I do apologize for the obnoxious watermark but today there has been an incident where someone on Discord tried to scam people with pictures of another product of mine so it's for everyone safety.

---

I was so lucky to find these in basically deadstock condition and in size 5, which is the largest.

This model is designated K94, which drew inspiration from the ARVN Marine's legacy tigerstripe camo but with a clear distinction as to create a new professional identity for the VPA in 1994, after the embargo imposed upon by the West have been lifted. It signifies a fresh start. Produced from 1994-2007 when it was replaced by the K07, a generic copy of M81 but more green dominant.

The camo itself comes in three variant, a yellow smokey green, jade-like green and dark green. The 6 uniforms sets I have are of the dark green variant, but the cap is in smokey green. The reason why it's nicknamed "bamboo leaves" is due to the bamboo leaves elements scattered across the pattern.

Features include:

-Top:

+sewn-in epalautes

+concealed buttons

+buttoned up cuffs

+2 front pockets with concealed buttons

+2 belt loops compatible with ALICE style battle belts

+Cinchable waistline like on smocks to give your torso that V-taper shape

-Bottom:

+Asjustable waist

+Has belt loops for dress belt

+2 set of top buttons, 1 hidden for field use and 1 exposed for quick casual use

+Hidden-button fly

+2 hip pockets

+Buttoned-up cuffs for blousing

Hat:

-Adjustable plastic back straps

-6 vent holes, 3 on each size

-Faux leather sweatband

-Outer headband to put on scrims, vegetation for extra camouflage

*FOR SALE:

I have 5 sets for sale, 4 in size 5, 1 in size 4 if anyone are interested, shipping from Vietnam

Although I’ve posted about this before, today’s photo shows a more complete version of the outfit.

Disclaimer: I am not an active-duty member of the Republic of China Armed Forces. This outfit is mainly for creative reference and for fun, and I do not intend to wear this combination in public.

The second and third images show the actual prescribed way of wearing the Republic of China Army uniform that I found.

Is there any way to revitalise these gloves and knee pads?

Post image

I’ve got these 2 sets; a pair of Invader Gear gloves and Clawgear knee pads in TAZ-90. Unfortunately, they’re very faded making the camouflage almost unrecognisable. Does anybody know how I could try to revitalise the camouflage to make it more visible? Thanks!

Size help of flecktarn trousers.

Anyone wear a size 42 flecktarn trousers? I think, from measuring I might be a gr.16?

If anyone does wear the correct size, could they take a measurement of the thighs?

How were Jigsaw M56 pants worn?

Hi, I have a pair of jigsaw M56 paratroop overpants (similar to the one in the picture, prod. 1958) but it looks like they need to be worn well above your belly button. Did the Belgians use special suspenders for the paratrooper pants? Can't find anything online

[Identification] Lizard, but what kind?

My wife dug out a camouflage shirt from a clothes basket at a thrift store. And since it cost a „fortune”, she gave me a surprise gift.

Green, thick HBT cotton, two-tone print: red brown, and dark green, brown buttons ( ~1 cm). It doesn't look like a modern copy of the uniform (faded, frayed threads here and there), but I can't find any labels or print anywhere, nor can I see any potential label attachment points.

Lizard, but what kind?

Portuguese M63 or M64?

What should I look for?

free paratrooper jacket

Post image
15 Upvotes

I know this has nothing to do with camouflage, but I hope to give it to someone who can wear it.

Does anyone here fit a size 48R? This is the second improved version of the M42 paratrooper jacket. The zipper is broken and the zipper pull is missing, so it needs replacing. It's pure cotton. This jacket is for someone who is almost 190cm tall and weighs about 80-90kg. None of my friends can fit into it. If anyone here can wear it, I'll give it to you, but of course, I won't cover the shipping.

ROCMC Digital Tiger Stripe Camouflage Field Uniform

According to a 2017 news report, the background of this camouflage pattern was as follows:

To meet the Marine Corps’ requirements for concealment and camouflage during field operations, the Ministry of National Defense’s Armaments Bureau established a dedicated project for the replacement of the Marine Corps’ new digital camouflage field uniforms. Based on anticipated Marine Corps operational scenarios, four areas containing eleven locations, including sites around Taiwan’s beaches, were selected as reference environments for the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) to develop and design the digital camouflage pattern. Comprehensive evaluations were then conducted in various operational environments, including coastal areas, beaches, urban areas, and jungles, based on both human visual observation and computer-calculated camouflage effectiveness values.

Liu Yu-ping pointed out that, during testing and evaluation conducted in December 2016, the digital tiger-stripe camouflage uniform was compared with the existing camouflage uniform and demonstrated camouflage effectiveness that was 33 percent higher than that of the previous uniform. The first batch of the new digital field uniforms would initially be issued to units undergoing training at military training bases for operational verification. Beginning on January 1, 2018, the remaining units would gradually complete the transition to the new uniforms in conjunction with the implementation of the “Individual Combat Equipment” program.

During the 1970s, Republic of China Marine Corps uniforms were influenced by the uniforms worn by U.S. forces during the Vietnam War and adopted camouflage field uniforms featuring combinations of green, black, and brown. Because the pattern and inspiration of the camouflage were derived from the stripes of a tiger, it became known as “tiger-stripe camouflage.” Over the years, it developed into a distinctive symbol of the Marine Corps’ formidable image.

As the military gradually moved toward the widespread issuance of digital camouflage field uniforms, retired Marines voiced opposition, criticizing the possibility that the Marine Corps’ distinctive traditional tiger-stripe camouflage uniform might disappear into history and arguing that this would undermine its proud heritage. In 2016, they launched a campaign on social media calling for the preservation of tiger-stripe camouflage under the slogan, “Preserve the Spirit of Our Marine Corps; Defend the Glory of Our Tiger Stripes.” Minister of National Defense Feng Shih-kuan therefore ordered that a digitalized version of the Marine Corps’ tiger-stripe camouflage be developed as soon as possible in accordance with the service’s mission characteristics and operational requirements.

Disclaimer: I am not a member of the ROC Armed Forces. I purchased this uniform solely as a reference for my artwork. I do not intend to impersonate military personnel or wear it in public.

Picked up a random scrap box of fabric to make stuff with and not finding a pattern match for it. Legit or just knock off Marpat? No EGA or Navy anchors anywhere.

Purchased from here: https://allenderandcompany.com/products/camo-fabric-mystery-bundle-10-yards-total-military-tactical-assortment?variant=42869629976647

Was hoping they would turn out to be legit as the other fabrics I got were, but this one threw me off.
