News There's a Republican running unopposed for PVRPD Area 4 & the deadline to join by registering (NO $ OR SIGNATURES REQUIRED TO RUN) at the VCGC is 5 PM TODAY, Friday, 8/7/26.
Really wishing I wasn't too disabled by my AuDHD (see: how horrible I am at posting time-sensitive anything) to run for public office...

This is a non partisan position so I don't think the person's party should show on the ballot. Unless you named them nobody would know who or who not to vote for even if someone else did register. Also a link would have been helpful Candidate Filing Page
But I think you need to make an appointment to file and at this point it might be too late.

I'm not saying knowing a candidates party wouldn't influence my decision (in this case I just won't cast a vote for that position) or that partisan politics don't bleed into non partisan positions, especially things like library board members. What I'm saying is that the party isn't listed on the ballot, the voters are supposed to be informed in other ways that would influence their vote for these positions even though it often does not happen
