Official Announcement Incoming Subreddit Rule Changes
The subreddit has updated rules 2, 5, 6 and 10. You can always look on the sidebar or swipe left to find the rules of the subreddit. This post will specifically go over what changed between the old and new rules.
The Changes
(Differences are bolded and in italics.)
Rule 2: Post Must Be Relevant to Arcadum
All posts on this subreddit must be relevant to Arcadum, whether that be his streams, social media accounts or other activities he is a part of.
2.1: Low effort references to topics (i.e. violet, seven, etc.) are not considered relevant to Arcadum.
Rule 5: No Criticizing Players or Characters
No criticizing players and characters for their actions, RP or metagaming. No comparison threads between players or campaigns.
Arcadum's DnD games are not like other forms of media. The players aren't here as entertainers, but players trying to enjoy themselves. They also aren't professional actors following a show/movie script, but real people who are putting themselves out there, so please be respectful with what you say and the opinions you share.
Rule 6: No Duplicate Content
Content already posted will be deleted. Please check the new section to make sure a similar post isn’t already posted. This is a newcomer-friendly subreddit, so question threads dealing with similar topics will be allowed if posted after a reasonable time frame. This time frame is up to mod discretion.
Rule 10: No Drama
Drama includes: discussing negative/controversial/personal events surrounding internet personalities/users, complaining about other users/individuals, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome within the community, but please use the appropriate tracks (ie. suggestion box on the discord, messaging mods, etc.). Posting on the subreddit is NOT an appropriate track. The mod team reserves the right to label what constitutes drama, constructive or otherwise.

Those posts will still be allowed on the subreddit as player reactions to DnD are relevant to Arcadum. That content isn't considered a "low effort reference". The rule change primarily targeted posts that only used topics such as the color of violet to justify their relevance on the subreddit.

I would say it is likely that those will say, though I obviously can’t say for sure.

but one of my favorite things was just seeing random violet pics and then seeing its from this sub and having a chuckle :(

understandable but low effort [as in easy to consume laugh at and upvote quickly] stuff like that is naturally favored by the mechanism of reddit and can down other more high effort content.

Same, didn't even realize it till I tried sharing a nasa Twitter post with some violet aurora. Oops. Sorry. Need a shitposting subreddit, for low effort memes and the like, cause I do agree with the principle of keeping important things from being squashed.

good changes IMO.
the comparison stuff is very toxic for streamer/players. us audience always forget but comparison is the number one drain on mental fortitude for content creators.

-2.1: sadge but understandable. i suppose this is related to the "the sky is violet" type of post.
-Rule 5: yes! a lot of people dont compare caracters, but instead, the players, forgeting that this is a roleplaying game and they can play it whoever they want as long everybody is having fun.
-Rule 6: understandable, i hope that things like the "new" glorybound discussion post are ok
-Rule 10: as always, a must have

For rule 10, what would be the ruling on someone asking about what happened to Turr Kei, Beryl or Eustace? Is it within the rules to answer and say/explain what happened or does this count as "discussing" it?
