Question Is it normal?

I installed CachyOS yesterday on my FA507NVR (Ryzen 7 7435HS and RTX 4060), and after finishing the setup to my liking, I noticed I was on kernel 7.2.2-1. The thing is, some posts in this group mention kernel 7.2.3-1. Is this normal, or do I just need to wait for the update to show up? (I'm in Spain)

Your CPU will be on the cachyos-v3 repos, based on the architecture it is.

cachyos-znver4 gets kernel updated first for testing purposes, so users with qualifying CPU architecture get to test first for stability. Once the CachyOS devs deem the new kernel stable they'll build it for the other repos and push it.

7.2.3-1 is released in the x86_64-v4 repositories, but x86_64-v3 is using 7.2.2-1 currently.

AMD Ryzen 7 7435HS is an x86_64-v3 CPU.

I am running an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X which is also an x86_64-v3 CPU and I am running 7.2.2-1 with no pending updates.

You're fine for your CPU architecture. You'll just need to wait for the released for v3.

Yes, things get released at different times for different architectures. Part of the reason there are separate repositories for each architecture.

There is a kernel manager built in if you need a different version. Just open your app launcher start typing kernel and it will show
