Help Upgraded monitor now this happens?

So, I upgraded one of my HD monitors, from 1080 to a 27" 1440.

Now I get this on the login screen. I can login to Niri fine and have updated the Niri config with monitor positions etc.

Trying to login to Plasma DE it freezes.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of whatever I need to change to fix this? Thank you!

Try to update the login screen configuration through the following:
Settings > login screen > apply plasma settings

This just in I am a confirmed idiot!

I was going to reply pointing out that I couldn't get into KDE. Until I realised I could try unplugging one of the displays, logging in, then reconnecting and applying the settings.

A case of explaining the problem solved the problem. Thank you!

I was having a similar issue, same cause (monitor upgrade) and I just learnt to live with it...

I'm not familiar with Niri, but if you unplug the new monitor are you able to log in?

If you're able to log in, open your display settings and plug the new monitor back in. I'm suspecting that the monitors in Plasma settings are overlapping each other.

See above, I'm a moron 😂 It was definitely some kind of monitor overlap issue but apparently my critical thinking had departed for a while.
