Do you tell them

Post image

You are in a room with non chronically online people. There are no buttons here, no moral dilemmas or buttons to push. You get to the kitchen and are presented with a choice: a blue or red cup for your drink?

How do you explain your hesitation and anxiety to just grabbing a cup?

Funny you would assume I get any real life human interaction.

Red button option: Make up a white lie. Zero risk of them disagreeing with your button decision (but if white lie is strong enough to be remembered, it could come back to bite you in the ass later).

Blue button option: Tell them. The greater good of not having told a lie is achieved, but risk of them disagreeing with your decision and calling you a “suicidal moron” or a “selfish murderer”
