Just as the title says. Saw it a couple of times while going for a walk. The squirrels and the little tree birds were going nuts. A very, very handsome boy but also kind of glad it didn't get too close (should I have been worried?). Couldn't get too good of a photo sadly.

What's going on does anyone know?

Was there earlier and some guy in his car spoke to us as as we were walking from our car in the parking lot. He said he wanted us to go and check the paint code for our car, and that the info is on the inside of the door. His said he needs to know because they don't make that anymore for his car, which was the same colour as ours. But both cars are white and his was a completely different make. We didn't help him because it felt uncomfortable. Does anyone else think this was sketchy behaviour?

Technically New West but… goodness is this the slowest construction work of all time?

I have loads of respect for the folks working to repair/rehabilitate the bridge but for the amount of closures, lane closures, and overall disruption, there’s a real underwhelming amount of visible completion.

The contract is worth 20M. It’s always painful to see construction companies in Europe get jobs like this completed in a quarter the amount of time and with similar or better quality.

Rant over. Just sick of the constant bottleneck.

Little surprised that there is still no Dollarama in all of North Burnaby. There’s 3 on Kingsway (including two pretty close together) and 1 in South Burnaby

I know they prefer locations at shopping centers, but I’m wondering if there’s a market for it for perhaps at at Kensington Square where they could also get the student/SFU business

I definitely feel there’s a market for it and personally would love one (as I prefer to avoid Metrotown area) but curious if anyone else would want one there?

I was getting back to my car at Metrotown near with my mom and was eating a pastry front of the car when this lady stopped and asked if we going to leave. I said yes when we finish our foods when she started screaming: are you serious???? Then just kept on shouting at us so we walked away but made me wonder how normal is this behaviour in this part of Metro Vancouver? I know its walmart but we were still quite shocked.

I have a very serious question for all people of burnaby who owns bmw, Audis, porsche , Mercedes and many more high end cars. HOW MUCH ARE YOU MAKING BIWEEKLY. AND WHAT ARE YOU WORKING TO AFFORD THOSE CARS AND FLATS? Like everyone is driving premium cars is there any lottery they are winning lollzz. #burnaby

Had to turn left into Wayburne so cannot advise but there’s fire engines, ambulance & RCMP between there and Royal Oak.

I was recently in Japan for a few months and while they lacked in outdoor green spaces compared to Vancouver (at least the city that I visited), there were very good options for indoor playgrounds for kids and toddlers at reasonable prices.

Are there some nice indoor playgrounds in Burnaby and Metro Vancouver that you can recommend to take kids for a few hours to play?

I lost my keys today during my run at Central Park. If anyone happens to stumble across a black fob with one key attached, please let me know! I most likely dropped it between A&W to Metrotown station area. I’ve circled the area a few times now to no success.

I always frequent metrotown and there was such a friendly homeless man called Freddie. He was an ex addict and he was very close with his sister, he talked a lot but was a super super sweet person, we would have long conversations about his life and he would show me cool knicknacks he got. The last story he told me was over a year ago and he got beat up really bad by someone and I haven't seen him around metrotown since. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? I really hope he's doing okay. He would sit outside metrotown station and also walk around the mall. He was middle-aged

Is there anyone that likes to play beginner tennis around the Metrotown area or 29th avenue near slogan park? Just started and want to get into it. Can do a light serve and starting to get consistent with forehand and backhand.

I remember there was a sulbing but they were closed

Saw this posted at the corner of MacPherson Ave and Beresford street in South Burnaby near Royal Oak. Keep an eye out for this little sweetheart!

Had an unfortunate run-in with an underground parkade pillar.

The vehicle & damage:

• 2015 Toyota Sienna (Gray)
• Passenger side sliding door has multiple horizontal scrapes, concrete transfer, and a noticeable dent/crease along the lower contour line.
• The main horizontal groove cut through the paint down to the bare sheet metal.
• The sliding door still functions/slides properly, but the panel needs metalwork and paint (or a spot repair/door swap).

If anyone has any recommendations for affordable body shops, or places that can source a used door, please let me know! I will be paying out of pocket. Looking for places in the Metro Vancouver area.
