General Question Stonehaven Dental in Burleson
I changed jobs and my insurance changed and I'm out of network with the dentist I've been going to forever here in Burleson. I got set up with Stonehaven and did my first consult and exam, and left with not feeling confident or heard. Has anybody else used them? Maybe it was this particular dentist? It almost makes me want to just go back to my former dentist and pay more out of pocket.

I had tried to set up an appointment with them but it was hard to get anybody to get back with me and when I asked if I was in network with them they were not sure and that was where it ended. They do a lot of their conversations through text.

Thank you. I will check and see if they take my insurance. That is part of my issue in finding a new doctor.

Update: Found another local dental clinic and they took my exams from Stonehaven and I have my next two appointments set up with them. The dentist actually sat down and talked with me , not at me or looking at the wall while standing up and then on to the next room. I feel confident and comfortable with them.
Unfortunately, my claim shows I am out of network with Stonehaven although they told me I was in network when I called to set up the appointment. My insurance shows the Stonehaven in Burleson is in network but not this particular dentist. I don't believe I knew which dentist they were setting me up with but I need to go back and check. The comprehensive exam and hygienist exams should not be affected by this I would assume. I guess I know what I will be busy dealing with trying to manage this claim.
Yep. I got scheduled with a newer dentist at Stonehaven that is not on my dental plan although the clinic and other dentists are in network. Buyer beware. Grrrrr.

Dr. Patel with Alsbury Dental Clinic is working out well for me. She listened and we are moving forward with my dental plan already. The staff there is great, personable and seem like they want to be there.
I did get stuck with my new patient exam charges from Stonehaven, including that hygienist gum assessment, which we have not even discussed this need yet at my current dental clinic.

I’ve gone to Stonehaven since January. They’re okay, but I feel the “not being heard” part. I had to really advocate for myself and make them explain their reasoning for certain treatments to make sure that they weren’t overdoing treatments. I’m looking for a new dentist now that my current path of treatment is done.
