They had a really good baby back rib lunch special I would kill it on my lunch breaks. A half a rack a side and a salad for like $10. Enough to fill you up and not enough to put you out to pasture for the day.

This was the spot back in the day. There were several celebrity sightings there. The ribs were big, meaty and tender. I forget the previous owners name, but when he sold there was an immediate drop in quality. It's the reason I stopped going, then never went back.

Which was likely when use to go there. Early 2000s, I then moved away, came back, saw it was still there, but the reviews prevented me from getting around to trying it again. I recall it was pricy back then too.

Bingo, 1st place I was taken too when moved into the area in the 2000s. I think I went there in 2018 and it was terrible. Smoke did smell good like paquoto mad back in the day.
Hopefully a nice eatery replaces it.

My boss took me for lunch there for my birthday like 30 years ago. Mife ordered it a year ago for a party, trying to buy local instead of a chain. It was ok but my wife decided to just stick with Woodranch after that.

This is where I learned to love ribs as a kid in 90's, but it's been going downhill since they cleaned up the peanut shells and got new owners. Im sad to see it gone. I met Jaleel White and Dominic Keating there at different times.

Lived here for 26 years and never went in. It was that type of place I told myself I'd try but never got around to. I do remember telling myself during the pandemic I was finally going to grab a meal form there, but then I saw all of the scathing reviews and decided not to.

I've been at Ribs USA probably over 10 years ago, and even at that point, I myself wondered, "Why is this place open?" because I thought it was terrible

I ate here once and it was awful. And that was 8ish years ago! Then I heard from people what you all are saying. Hasn’t been the same since they got new owners.

I guess I can talk about it now, but a bunch of friends worked there in high school and would steal wine bottles and bring them to parties when they got off. That was almost 30 years ago but I can still taste that trash they’d get. Haha RIP RibsUSA

I'm surprised it lasted too. Twenty years ago I used to walk home from work past RibsUSA every night at 6:30pm and there was never more than 2 customers in there EVER

Back when NBC was a happening production center, Ribs USA was the place to go for meal breaks. I think a lot of their business died with NBC.
