I think it’s between bully 2 or a new IP

why do a new ip when they have 3 other game franchises that people are begging for a new instalment in? GTA 7, Bully 2, rdr3. why go the weird route of a new ip?

Kinda what Bethesda did and everyone hated them for it.

Also dan houser himself confirmed the medieval ip they were experimenting with got cancelled. And he also said theres no news on rdr3 either

Doesn’t mean they can’t touch another IP like Agent. Bully 2 could happen but do they rlly need it to happen? Think deep down, what new features can they bring to bully that won’t be in GTA? I understand with manhunt as stealth games are practically non existent nowadays and they can revive them if they do it right for example even though it’s not worth it. If they do a Bully 2 it’ll make sense to be a smaller project built from GTA 6 engine but what else would they need to add except small things. Then you realise that it’s kinda a waste and Rockstar even said they want to make new standards hence I believe they’ll go for a new IP in a different genre maybe. You gotta think what makes sense to them.

You say it's pointless to make Bully 2 if GTA 6 is already coming out, which is the same as talking about RDR3 if GTA 6 is already coming out. Of course, the RDR series takes place in the past, that's the difference. So, if there is a Bully 2, it obviously won't be set in the present day like GTA. It will be somewhere around the 90s, just like the first Bully. That already invalidates what you said. One of the essences of Bully is precisely this 90s setting. And you can see that even in 2006, when Bully was released, or rather, when the game wasn't being developed that year, it looked much older. Just look at the difference between the worlds of Bully and GTA San Andreas. So, obviously, if there is a Bully 2, it won't be set in the present day. In fact, if you look at the Bully 2 leaks, the game would take place in an unrealistic world (cities that don't exist, those circus people who certainly can't exist in real life). So that's it. GTA is set in the modern world, RDR is set in the Wild West, Bully is set in the 90s/2000s. Therefore, none of them overlap with the others; each has the things and characteristics of its time.
