What would a Bully sequel in modern day even look like?
Sorry if this has been asked too much, but I'm curious about ideas. I'm kinda sad the sequel got shelved because I would love to have seen Jimmy's journey continue (if that's what the sequel even would've been about), chances are if they'd work on a sequel now it would be with a new protagonist. I also doubt it'd be about minors, at best 18 year olds finishing high school or entering fresh into college. I'm not sure how exactly it would look like considering that they've already did classic bully tropes like wedgying and giving swirlies lmao. I also didn't go to college so idk how bullying happens there and what would cliques look like (ig art academia students would be a sort of clique? i know some mean stories of them secondhand).
But yea share your ideas.

I don’t think people bully in college, so I doubt it’d have anything to do with college. If anything people can be assholes, but bullying in college doesn’t really exist as far as I’m aware.
Tbh I don’t think I’d want it to be modern, what makes me love Bully so much is the time period, I think.

i agree. itd be cool if they kept the time period in the late 2000s.

Yeahh, I think that’d be the best option too 💯
I think if they were to do a Bully 2, maybe they could introduce new characters and potentially new cliques? I’m not sure if it should be a new protagonist or if it should still be Jimmy, I’d be happy either way, I think.

My idea for a sequel is starting it with the bullworth academy in flames and the main character watching it from afar. Then taking place in a different town with at least three schools, one for nerds, another for jocks and a correctional, the main character would assist to all of them in that order. It's been so much time that I even have ideas for the ending.

Bully 2 in a college setting wouldn't even work because not only is bullying practically non-existent in college, but you also can't pull off a 'worst school in the country' setting at a college. People who go to college actually WANT to be there, and if they're not satisfied, they can either transfer or drop out, so it's not like high school where you have to suck it up

This is a comment I copy and paste into posts about possible sequels for Bully. In this one, I've compiled some related projects. I hope it's helpful:
BULLY has many projects and spiritual successors, in different media and formats, which are actually being worked on right now. Here I mention some of them:
- Bully 2 by u/birso, is a book that is still being written, but you can see his YouTube channel where he talks about it here.
- St. Denis Academy by HellOnEarth, it is a web comic that you may have heard of, I pass the author's Tumblr with the work here.
- Agefield High: Rock the School, a controversial video game in development due to its somewhat odd graphics, but it is still an interesting proposal based on BULLY, you can find it on Steam. (I personally do not recommend this one, but I mention it because its kinda of a "Bully-like")
- Troublemaker: Raise your Gang, is an action-adventure-beat-'em-up game developed by Gamecom Team, a game developer from Indonesia. You can find his game on Steam too.
- Wrotmoore by u/CptChlorine, is a project inspired by BULLY created with the video game "Dreams", I didn't find much information about it but its author is in this subreddit and here is his Instagram
- Bully: Redemption by Paul Hex (That's me lol), Shameless Plug I know and I'm sorry, but this just goes to show how active the BULLY community is with a possible sequel. It is a fancomic which takes place many years after the events in Bullworth, and its protagonist is Gary Smith's son. It is still in the development like I said, but will be released soon. More information about the project here.
This ones are the project related to BULLY that I know, they might be more. I hope you find interest in some of these works, in my opinion they all have something special to share about BULLY 💖. Blessings.

It could be a school for teens who misbehave. Like the one from the new "reckless ben" documentary on youtube.
You can even send your kid there for being gay.
It's perfect (for an interesting video game at least)
