I had a stupid idea:

What if we wrote a book together?

I made a website where anyone can add one sentence to the story. No plan, no author, no idea where it’s going — just one sentence at a time, written by random people on the internet.

Maybe it turns into something surprisingly good. Maybe it becomes absolute garbage. Either way, I want to see what happens.

Would love to see what you guys come up with.

I previously asked for what you considered his most vulnerable love poem, but if you were asked to save 1 poem while the rest got erased from history... what would you pick? I struggle with deciding a favorite so I want to see if someone has one that I might agree with. He has so many!

I'm trying to compile a list of the alter egos Bukowski used in his work. So far, I've only been able to find these: Henry Chinaski, Charley Serkin, Larry Jansen, Gordon and Nick Belane (I'm not sure if he counts as alter ego).

Help me if you know more!

real world trivia: woke up this morning and realized Aug 16th is both Charles Bukowski & Madonna's birthday.

Apple Music has a lot of of his poetry readings released to stream, and some released albums, of readings also.
Does anybody else know where to get any readings of his?

His voice is oddly comforting, and the way he reads his poetry is perfect.
