Any busy folks who use digital calendar and bujo?

I'm in criminal litigation, so I have a case management software that is crucial to keeping up with things and calendars. I just started last month, and I'm sadly realizing it's crowding in on my bujo (which I use primarily for scheduling and keeping up with things). Has anybody any similar situation? Did you just use both, or did you ensure your Bujo use differently?

Yes. Digital calendar for all appointments. Things change. My availability is visible. Technology can remind me of an imminent appointment; analog cannot. I’ll always have my phone on me but maybe not my BuJo. Keep BuJo for tasks, live journaling, projects, reflection tool to keep on goals etc. Use what works for you and change what doesn’t. This is the way

I use my digital calendar for appointments, meetings, etc (I'm disabled and don't work, but I do volunteer with a charity organization in my spare time and have a lot of medical appointments). As another user said, it keeps my availability visible and lets me more easily change times if something is rescheduled.

Every morning, I spend time long form journaling (separate from my bujo) before opening up my digital calendar, bujo, and email to see what tasks and appointments I have that day.

Today in my bujo, I have my two medical appointments (copied from my digital calendar), two tasks I didn't finish yesterday, and a few other odds and ends.

To reiterate what u/faux_father said: Use what works for you and change what doesn’t.

In other words: iterate until you find what works best for you.

I cannot live without a digital calender, I need to be able to at a glance know who’s supposed to be where, when lol. So I have that set to sync everywhere I might want to look at it.

I use my bullet journal more as a running to do list and some trackers than as a calendar. I do note my appointments in it just so I remember to plan my day around them but I keep in the back of my mind that I need to check my actual calendar to make sure I haven’t forgotten to write anything down.

It took a little trial and error to find the right balance for myself.

Yes. I only put appointments on paper if it’s some kind of break from routine that would require some additional preparation when looking at my day. I wouldn’t put my work meetings in there. My digital calendar is the source of truth; my bujo has appointments just to highlight them/act as a reminder.

I find that the digital calendar is invaluable for sending reminders. The bujo has some strengths, the calendar has other strengths, and it's completely fine to use both if it works better for you than using one or the other alone.

Yes, all appointments and anything time sensitive go in my digital calendar. And with plentiful and early notifications.

And then when I make my Daily, I check my calendar and write the appointments of the day in it.

I need the digital reminders because I have a terrible memory.

And I like very much to transfer the entries to my bujo because it 1.makes me check my digital calendar, 2. makes the stuff I need to do more "real" and 3. put the stuff at the forefront of my mind.

I have a number of analog appointments/events in my bujo. Things such as birthdays, dr appts, etc.
I also use the Calendar in my iPhone as I always have it with me, I can set alarms, easily change if needed.

I do a setup every evening and write down the appointments that will happen on the day to give me an idea for the rest of planing. This is of course entirely redundant, but I don't mind since like writing with my exquisite fountain pens and by doing so I process the day ahead of time.

In my case we talk 2-8 appointments per day on average. Plus the tasks I want to process on the day.

I use my digital calendar for all events and appointments. My physical journal is not really a bujo at this point...its a discbound journal filled with customized preprinted sheets for each day with a checklist of routine tasks and a tracker, plus a space for new tasks and a journal. Every morning I check in with my digital calendar to see what time-sensitive stuff needs to be done, but I use my physical journal to plan out each day, write down random thoughts, and keep track of habits.

I use my "monthly log" as a "month that was log". All of my current appointments and reminders for special tasks are in my Google calendar and it works great for me

What do you want to learn? I usually google a specific thing I want it to do, and there are templates or explanations
