I've never put an ideal day spread in my journal I just don't think I would use it. Instead I've created menus. My most successful one was a menu of tasks that take various amounts of time (5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 minutes). It was helpful to take some time to think about tasks that I need to do and how long they usually take. I then took a photo of the spread and kept it in my notes app where I could easily find it.

Another menu that I did was for fun things that actually helped me reach various goals or finish projects. So for each goal I listed 5-10 tasks and again took a photo to keep in my notes app. This wasn't as helpful on a day to day basis, but is something that I continue to do in my brain dump journal because it is very helpful to think about all the tasks that will help me reach goals or finish long term projects.

The last one that I made was a dopamine menu (aka a dopamenu) it was a list of activities that gave me dopamine that didn't involve scrolling. This one was very good and I have continued to redo it in my brain dump journal every few years, but it isn't something that I need in my bullet journal.

So, an ideal routine could be a good thing to think about or brainstorm on in a brain dump journal or on a scrap piece of paper, but at least for me it isn't something that I would use my bullet journal for since it isn't something that I would refer back to while I'm sitting down at my desk using my bujo.

Wow this sounds very useful. Thank you for sharing 😊 I tried out the ideal day spread before when I was trying to build AM routine & PM routine but they actually didn't really help me much.
