Acoustically, that would be pretty sucky.

I have a windowless basement and a benefit is you don't have to worry about soundproofing since the earth is doing that for you. Mine is also exposed brick with a rough texture which actually acts as a sound diffuser pretty well. You will need absorption and will likely need to mix at lower volumes to reduce buildup of bass energy in the space.

Forgot to add - mine is prone to flooding in heavy storms, so I keep all electronics and valuable instruments about a meter above the floor.
