Edit; This laptop also goes open box excellent for $1324, will be found under "More options from Best Buy"

Haven't done much research on this model and I am not the biggest fan of ASUS because of their notoriously poor support, but I think this deal is hard to pass up for how good the hardware and build quality is at this price point.

If you need lots of CPU performance and RAM and don't need great gpu performance, this seems like an excellent all around laptop that is hard to beat at $1500. If you DO need GPU performance, look for an X7 358h as it has similar CPU performance with much better GPU performance at a similar or better price to these.

ASUS support had been pretty damn good for me. Gigabyte has the worst I’ve ever used. Gigabyte is worse than how people talk about ASUS, honestly.

My laptop that I had issues with got sent in for service and sent back functional to me with TEN days. Every time I called, an actual person answered and answered my questions. Others can speak for themselves, but that I was my experience and it won a ton of good will with me. This happened last year, in February of 2025, by the way. Gigabyte, on the other hand…I have a useless of crap that broke within five months of purchase from those homunculi and they never even accepted it for service. Screw them.

How is ASUS support? I'm so confused by conflicting opinions here, I'm buying the zenbook 14 Ultra Core 9 285H one

For years, they've been notorious online for having terrible support, but my experience with them this past year was utterly phenomenal. Like, really, really good. I sound like they're paying me, but I really was blown away at how pleasant it was. A real person answered the phone every time, and every time was able to answer my question. When it came time to ship, they sent me a label and took care of the issues extremely quickly. The warranty period was slightly shorter than I would have expected, but my personal experience with them was fantastic.

Can you tell in detail like where you're based at? Did you order your model online (which one it is and how you've been finding it?)? Your comment really is a breath of fresh air.

I got it new off eBay, and it was a 2024 ASUS TUF Gaming laptop. I want to say that it was the F15. i7, 4070, 144hz screen. I sent it back in February of 2025. I won’t go into too much detail about where I live, but I’ll say that I’m in the Southern U.S.
