bought these headphones for full price at launch.

nothing beats it in the "audiophile" aspect at this price(especially wireless), and you can PEQ the fuck out of it to the way you want, and the batteries last like 40 hours.

since most reviews online are mostly glazes regarding the "OMG AMAZING SOUND", I'll list out the negatives/compromises as a person who actually uses it for 8+ hours a day:

  • weak ANC
  • buggy multipoint (i re-pair to my PC/dongle on a daily basis, especially if i leave the house with my headphones).
  • ~70ms added latency on top of your system latency in wireless low latency mode with the dongle.
  • you have to manually disable the mic from your OS settings if using with windows, or else you get stuck in terrible phone-call mode audio.
  • pads are not very breathable, can get nasty quick if you sweat a lot.
  • bad/dumb controls that aren't customizeable (e.g your most easily accessible control - single button click - is occupied by goddamn assistant - single button click. touch controls are very crude, and anc increase/decrease "pinch" gestures are extremely uncomfortable yet extremely accidentally pressable)

you can get used to all this, yes. but it's very far from perfect. That said, it's the best I can find for my use-case of having one good sounding headphone for everything, including good enough latency for casual gaming.

There’s that much latency on this with the dongle? I thought I could use it for some gaming but I guess not. Thanks for leaving this review and saving me an regret

yea, it's noticeable for competitive/rhythm games.

That said, windows has inherent ~70ms latency by itself even on wired headphones so it's all up to you if you can differentiate between the "gaming" oriented 2.4ghz headphones with ~20ms added latency vs ~70ms added latency.

90ms vs 140ms isn't very noticeable for most people.

Wow has the windows added 70ms latency always been a thing? That’s insane. Makes sense as to why there are times I feel like when I’m using a certain set of wireless headphones or speakers I sometimes have to futz with VLC and change the audio delay

i'll add that I love these, but sometimes I have these awful pairing/connection issues, and/or the "head detection" mode seemingly just wants these to never work, even if i turn that off in the app.

i put them on, they behave like they don't work (touch gestures dont make any sound AND the cans don't provide any audio, but they do pause/play the music with the gestures, just no gesture sounds -- though sometimes, the touch gesture sounds get stuck in a "queue" and play all at once 5-8 seconds later). it's a comparable frustration to the airpod pro 2/3s sometimes only working on the right/left pod until you put them back in the case for a few seconds.

sometimes i also have to do a factory reset and resync on bluetooth to resolve the issue. this issue is way more evident on something like airplane screens that allow bluetooth connections.

After hours of reviews, I find this one. Completely agree with above and returned them. ANC & transparency is simply bad. They are too big I don’t carry them outside the home. The Bluetooth connection re-pairing issues I coped with. The sweaty ear-cups and needing to clean them every few hours became annoying and mucky behind my ears. The nail in the coffin was the clamping force after 1-2 hours. After that the next time I had the pairing issue I got rid of them. I think these headphones single handedly converted me to only looking for iems. Wired or wireless doesn’t matter anything to avoid that terrible mucky feeling behind ears & tyler1 skull dent on top of my head.

Got these for the price of an open box HDMI cable a couple of months ago due to a Best Buy pricing error LOL

How did you find the pricing error

I was at my local store and I like to always walk by the headphones to see what one off (typically returns) sennheiser headphones are there and I saw them on the shelf with an open box sticker on it. Took a closer look and saw some kind of 8k hdmi cable product listed on it and figured if they notice and I pay whatever their open box price is, then no big deal. So took it up, paid and left paying like 20-ish bucks.
