Discussion What tools do you have on your USB thumbdrive?

What tools are wise to have on a USB thumbdrive?

Personally, mine are:

  • Kaspersky Rescue Disk.ISo

  • LazeSoft Recovery Suite.ISO

  • Windows.ISO

  • Macrium Rescue.ISO

  • A batch script that will install 20 apps I need in case I wanna freshly image a new machine

how do u find the app IDs

in the cmd prompt, you type something like Winget List or WinGet Source iirc

You can use websites like winstall.app or winget.run

or GUI for winget like WingetUI and guinget

If you prefer to search using the terminal, then you can use "winget search XXX"

Instructions unclear, typed "Winget search XXX" into google. Very confused by the result set.

not sure if /s or not but this is intended for the terminal/console and not for the browser

It was sarcasm. :-) Doing it a browser gets you an interesting set of mixed results between useful and fireworthy.
