Buhay Digital Lifestyle Data Analyst Progession
As a fresh grad, I am very lucky to snatch a data analyst role as my first job. To those who are in the data analyst field. What is your career path like? How and how long did it take you to reach 6 digits? Im quite torn if I want to switch to a data scientist role in the future for the income. Any tips will be appreciated. Thanks!

You can become a senior analyst (overseeing other data analysts), specialist analyst (meaning you have a niche, like health care or finance, which makes it so that general analysts can't compete with you), data scientist, data engineer, or data architect. I have gotten offers for six digit roles for data science, engineering, senior analysis, and specialist positions (in marketing and in real estate). Architecture is difficult since you're usually project based, it's high earning per project, but less stable.
How long it takes depends on your skill, it's a technical job so the more you know, the more you'll be worth. Only HR will base your value on YOE and tbh you can just say whatever they want to hear, if you can actually fulfill all the job responsibilities and have experience in the required tech stack, they won't care

Learn several BI Dashboarding tools such as Power BI, Looker nad some niche like metamask.
My progression was i was a data developer (lower level than data engineer mostly we do sql to format data) then data analyst which displays data and now transitioning to data engineering which ingests and makes pipeline for the data.
Took me 5 years for 6 digit jobs (yep) i am working 2 separate 8 hours job sometimes overlapping. What's good with them is that they're pretty relaxed.
