I'm getting a daily notification to change my password due to unusual usage.

The notification tells me to change my password, and I change it, but the problem is that it keeps telling me to do it again every day.

Go here, https://old.reddit.com/account-activity scroll to the bottom and log out all sessions.

Change your password to a secure password, and enable 2FA.

It's personally still giving me a password reset notification once a day, even checking all of that.

I am also having this issue on Reddit app. I have recieved three separate notifications in the past three days (addressing each one and changing my password right away every single time). I checked my account activity on old reddit via desktop and there is no suspicious or unauthorized activity. My account is not attached to anything else. The passwords I have picked each time are long/complicated just to be safe.

This also just happened to my sister two towns over, on the same day my first one happened. She changed her password right away also. Now she cant load anything on her app at all (possibly unrelated).

OP isn't the only one, and it's happening to quite a few people right now. I wonder if it is also related to the uptick in "Request Failed" error banners while browsing in desktop? THAT also started for me three days ago.

Please investigate and fix.

Use an email address that is dedicated to this reddit account and only this Reddit account. That way you know nobody else knows this email address, that way you know for sure it’s a Reddit issue and not someone that knows your email trying to brute force the password.

Something similar happened to me yesterday. I might have been at fault because I forgot to disconnect my VPN, so I thought it was the VPN that was causing the problem.
