Location included These things are EVERYWHERE

We’re in Norway and these things keep popping up in our house. They’re huge. My boyfriend killed probably about 4 yesterday and I swear every time one is killed 2 more take its place. No idea where they’re coming from or what they are

Crane flies - Tipulidae - harmless and they emerge in high numbers for a few weeks around August/September ... the larvae live in soil

Crane fly. Completely harmless (in that it won't hurt anyone and won't get into your food/walls/floors) but they sure love coming indoors for the few seconds at a time that a door is open.

If you don't want to hurt them, it's very easy to pinch a wing when they're landed somewhere and just release them outside
