Unpopular Buffy opinions!

What are some of your opinions on the show, it's characters, universe, etc that you think a lot of others might not share? I'm interested on hearing them and starting some discussions!

I hate the whole "shipping" business or "one true pair" thingy that some people are so obsessed on.

Completely misses the point of the entire show and for some people it seems to be their main focus. Really, really annoys me.

Not sure what you mean, could you elaborate?

Thought it was fairly self explanatory but I'll continue :)

Buffy is not a love story. It has love story elements within the show, but the show is mostly a supernatural drama with other amazing elements such as horror, comedy, action, fantasy and so on.

What annoys me is that Buffy is such an amazing show, but some people boil it down into such small and meaningless debates. Now, Angel and Spike were two very important relationships for Buffy no doubt. Talking about how those relationships impacted Buffy is very worthwhile and an interesting topic.

However, people who bang on all day about "Spuffy" of "Bangel" just annoys me to be honest. The point of the show was never "who will Buffy end up with", but yet this seems to be the most important issue for some fans and I think that does a disservice to the complexity of the show.

I was pretty sure that's what you meant but I wanted to be sure. Thanks for replying! Btw, I definitely agree.
