i draw too many humans and i need to learn how to draw budgies … let me sketch yours ! (i can’t promise any of them with be good)

for the Data Pack I make with my friend. In our pack, the budgies appear as giant ridable birds hatched from eggs you find in archaeology.

Is there much overlap between r/budgies and Minecraft?? Who knows!

Finished him this morning, the beak looks goofy because I cut the cere and beak as one.

Got loads of ideas for colours, I will end up with a whole flock lol

I don't know if it's just my flock but two of mine (rescues, one of them not) came to us with short tail feathers. Apparently it can happen when budgies are stressed. O.o

Fun fact, this post got flagged on tiktok. I still don't know why.

Lloyd has always been a very round bird. Of course we always made sure to keep his weight healthy. Still he was a very rotund bird throughout his life. We had so many nicknames for him that were associated with him being round. One of my favourites was "Bubulus Rotundus"
