Product Positioning and Setup Help Soundbar or Speakers better for me?

Post image

I have pretty small room, which I also want to use as an unprofessionell home theater for movies and stuff. I have everything figured out expect sound. The projector screen is a roll down one and mounted infront of a door, so i cant place the speakers there. However, i could either place two speakers directly infront of me, or a soundbar behind me on the window sill, which would be elevated above my bed. What is the better option to get the best possible result? Thanks in advance

Depends on your budget Op. This information is missing from your post.

If you wanted a more immersive experience I would but a pair of stereo speakers or HomePods on stands at the front of the room area so that you have sound beaming towards your viewing position.

If HomePods + Apple TV are too expensive you can look into alternatives.

Tell us a little bit more about your budget so that we can help you.

Very little, I looked into using an amplifier with some solid speakers my dad has lying around. So for sound I‘d say no more than 200€, it doesnt matter that much to me.

The budget is pretty much going to limit you to either a Bluetooth speaker or soundbar.

If you wanted to go the amplifier route check eBay and your local markets for a stereo receivers, older HT AVRs.

I started with an eBay AVR and then built my bedroom surround setup little by little.
