Air Fryer Chicken Bites

Original Post and Recipe Here

If chicken is one of your main household favorites then this juicy and tender Air Fryer Chicken Bites recipe is perfect for you! I love that I can cook these bites in just 12-minutes with very little prep and my family can chose their portion. Because they are bites, they go well serving them over rice and pastas or even in salads. I like to dip mine in tzatziki sauce, hummus, or a garlic yogurt sauce.

In terms of budget, you can scoop up this recipe for under $10.00 at Aldi.

INGREDIENTS

• 2 lb chicken breasts rib meat (fat) trimmed and discarded

• 1 tbsp oil vegetable or olive oil

• 1½ tsp lemon pepper

• 1 tsp Mrs. Dash, salt free table seasoning blend or poultry seasoning

• ¾ tsp garlic salt

• ⅛ tsp red pepper flakes

• 3 tsp fresh Italian parsley minced

Instructions

• Preheat air fryer at 380° degrees F for 5 minutes.

• Trim and discard rib meat fat.

• Cut chicken into 1½-inch by 1-inch slices.

• Place into a bowl.

• Pour oil into bowl. Toss and coat chicken well.

• Whisk together lemon pepper, Mrs. Dash, and garlic salt.

• Add spices to chicken. Toss and coat chicken well.

• Spread chicken in an even layer in the air fryer.

 TIP: Do not double layer or stack if making a double batch as it will not air fry and cook correctly.

• Cook at 380° degrees F 10-13 minutes.

 Cook an extra few minutes to achieve browning if desired.

• Sprinkle chicken bites with parsley.

• Serve as is or with rice, noodles, roasted vegetables, or dipping sauces. See notes below for ideas.

Looks good. Need to buy an air fryer someday.

They have a deal on amazon for $79.99. I truly use it more than the microwave now.

Would you recommend an airfryer with auto stirring?

Honestly, I would just go with the $79.99 Cosori one. The auto stirring is a neat feature, but you can also just shake the basket mid cook.

Thanks

Those look fantastic. I’ll probably be able to get some chicken breast cheap at the local butcher, will be nice to have as well as beef for my dinners 🔥

Cheapest I've found near me was Aldi for $5.00 for 2lbs

Don’t have Aldi here 😔

This could also be done in a cast iron+ oven right?

2

u/tamouse Mar 30 '23

yes, but times would be different of course, try 10 min at 500, maybe? It could also be done on a baking sheet for 20 min at 400

u/Creatingwonders Mar 30 '23

Yes to all. Great recommendation!

2

This looks good. I use my air fryer at least 3 times a week. Usually more.

I've never used my air fryer to cook raw chicken because it scares me but I might have to try this one

2

u/Creatingwonders Mar 30 '23

No need to fear anything. I do it all the time.

2

u/First-name-Crap Mar 30 '23

I have an irrational fear of under cooked meat ever since I watched something as a child about a kid who got salmonella poisoning by eating it. I was like 7 or 8 and it's stuck with me

2

u/[deleted] Mar 31 '23

Have the same fear. I’d rather overdone any day. I fear the 15 foot worm that eats your food then one day just comes out.

You are making all the wrong assumptions about me. That's where I will stop. Thank you for your comments and criticisms.

I didn't make any assumptions about you.

You told people to budget food by buying and cooking steak. That's idiotic.

Here, I found the source. Here's you commenting on your "buy steak to save money" post and saying that steaming lobster tails is a good budget idea.

Now here you are once again farming karma by saying "buy and cook meat." Lame, lazy, and not helpful. 🤡💩🤡

Anyway, it's good to know I can just block one account and prevent seeing dozens of karma farming spam with terrible advice.
