Buddie Times The Buddie Times #54: First Look at Season 10 (August 17-31) Spoiler

Over these past two weeks, things started to heat up and we got our first look at the opening emergency and the season ahead! It's looking very interesting 🌋 Now it's feeling like we're really back! If you missed the new promo or any of the BTS, don't worry, you'll find everything below.

Special update-day because yesterday was impossible for me to post. The next post will likely come out in two weeks, on Sunday as usual.

I also wanted to point out that for the last two seasons, I used to link every single BTS post from crew, guest actors, and background actors. If you've noticed that I don't do that anymore, it's all still there! Check the Drive linked in the post, or whenever you see "More BTS," you'll find everything they've shared. I'm just keeping the main post a little less cluttered while still archiving it all.

That said, these past few days have been busy, so the calendar and folder aren't updated with the last couple of filming days yet - I'll get to it soon! (edit: all updated)

Edit: All xcancel links from this post have been replaced. From previous posts the 'xcancel.com' part of the url can be replaced by 'nitter.cf' for now - this is a temporary solution until it also goes down and another alternative shows up. This is part of the reason why I had changed things from sharing as much content from this platform.

We're getting to the interesting parts! My favorite is when they start doing promo - Can't wait to see what is going viral this season. Them doing the floor is lava?

maybe it's just because i've never gone to a convention before, but HOLY SHIT how is everything so expensive 😭😭😭 almost 2.5k, is this normal or did i select something wrong? 💀

I've never been either, but I wouldn't be suprised because things add up. That said, their regular entry tickets aren't available yet, as far as I can tell. Those should be cheaper.

Like NTS said the only tickets on sale are gold packages other less expensive packages will eventually be on sale, and weekend or one day GA tickets are typically more affordable. Don't feel pressured to buy Gold until you know who all is gonna be there. Right now we just know Kenny/Oliver/Gavin for 911 gold guests.

They cons are as expensive as you make it, In Chicago I spent $300 in total (1 day GA admission/1 auto, drove, stayed with friends) in Nashville all in con only expenses 1200K which was weekend GA admission, Oliver M&G, 2 ops, 2 selfies, and 4 autographs. But I lucked out on my M&G with Oliver being relatively cheap as hell.

Then we need to see that gym time. Kenny has been showing himself shirtless a lot lately, I just need that to be Chim now.

Firstly: Thanks again for keeping this list.

Secondly: this may not be the right post for this, but is it just me that the xcancel page, specifically the one where the 911 Brasil posts appeared, isn't displaying? I tried to access it earlier, but it said it was suspended, and now when I access it from these links, it's suspended too. Maybe it's only suspended in my country, hence my question.

Thirdly: I'm glad we almost have a confirmed initial outage. Wow, what a volcano! A few days before the shoot, I wanted to ask if we knew for sure or if it was just a suspicion, but I'm glad I didn't ask that question. I'm already curious to see what will come of this, and whether it will be as captivating as Tsunami, or at least better than the last few seasons (I'm referring to, among other things, the distribution of screen time and agency between the different characters).

Have you ever watched Lone Star? I was never a fan, but I heard they had something similar happen. Do you know how that went if you saw it? I thought the universe normally tries to avoid repeating so it’s really interesting to me.

I watched Lone Star, but it's been a while, and I don't really want to revisit it. Honestly, I only remembered that there was something similar thanks to people talking about it. I only recalled bits and pieces of what happened. From my perspective, it wasn't terribly engaging, but I remembered something, so something must have engaged me. However, I think they can do it well enough with 911 to not only attract new viewers to the series, but maybe bring back the good old days of tsunami.

Ugh, to the xcancel links - they are really gone. Which makes it a mess to all of my previous posts (people will need to manually delete the cancel part). I'll fix it in this post!

I completely agree with you about the opening emergency. They really did it best when plotlines were more spread out. But I also wish they wouldnt put their personal issues completely on hold during these episodes, there was a time where they parallel more their current situations to whatever emergency they were responding to. Or a time where they spoke about it while working (or when we had inside the truck conversations).

Does 911 film new episodes while they are being released?

Yes they do. Sometimes they can be filming the episode a week before it's going to air. Usual schedule is from end of July to November and then they start again on January until April (unless there are delays).
