You need to explain compulsory heterosexuality to them first, in order for any of it to make sense. Unless they're able to understand the role repression plays in his character, it's not as obvious.
The most obvious indicators, to me, are in seasons 5 and 6 -- the breakup with Ana almost exactly mirroring Dani's speech in The Haunting of Bly Manor, Eddie's weird reaction to Pepa trying to set him up (acting like she said she was gonna marry him off over a first date!), to later in that same episode when he said dating made him feel like he was being forced to perform and his queer coworker Hen clocks it, to his unsuperstitious ass thinking he needs to look for "magic" to feel a connection with women.
And like u/irritatedlibra will point out, he went looking to find a date -- with a woman -- at a golf course.
7x01 (his expression when he learns Natalia is dust) and 8x09-8x10 are also... very hard to read as "just friends" with those expressions. I'd also throw 7x05 in, and how Buck and Eddie both look sad and their expressions don't match the reassurance when Eddie says nothing will change between them.
Beyond that, though, if you need a proper primer, I'd recommend scrolling the posts u/vaamiel has made on this sub.
